To assist in the effective management of our natural areas, QPWS has developed a Master Plan: A Master Plan for Queensland's Parks and Forests. This plan was released in October 2014 and outlines the direction for the management of all protected areas and State forests in Queensland for the next 10 years.

Get Playing Plus - new funding program now open

Get Playing Plus is a new funding program that goes beyond the scope of the current Get Playing program. Get Playing Plus will assist councils and community not-for-profit sport and recreation organisations to identify, develop and deliver infrastructure projects that encourage more Queenslanders to participate in the sport and recreation activity of their choice.
